The purpose of my mashup is basically to make fun of fighting. People fight over stupid stuff like shoes and it gets no one anywhere really. I also did what I did just to try to mix it up I guess.
I think my video is within the boundaries of fair use because I changed the audio all around. I used different clips for different people as well as different songs. I believe I am transforming it so it is seen differently. If you were to see the movie you would probably think that it is just a girly fight seen, but when I added the masculine voices it makes it more comical and masculine.
WOW TIM! You did an excellent job! I thought this video was HILARIOUS! Because I will admit that I have seen Hannah Montana the movie, and this part in the movie is ridiculous for how they complete like smack down on each other for a single pair of shoes, and your music, and the editing was done awesomely GREAT JOB!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat mashup had to have taken a super long time because it was soo good! I really like how many different audios you put to the one video to prove a point. Good music choices as well, they really dramatized the video. The ending was also a nice touch :). I think you are definitely within the guidelines of fair use because you used so many different things and completely flipped around the meaning of both the video and audio.

ReplyDeleteI loved the ending clip most of all! That little kid just being like "uh for real?" Awesome! I liked all your different voice over clips, super cool. I would have suggested cutting out the parts where her phone rings and stuff because it kind of takes the viewer out of the main purpose, but considering the time it must have taken to get all those audio clips in and cut I understand why you would choose not to. Though that part of the movie (yes I admit I saw it) is basically to show how dumb she is for fighting over shoes, I think that with the clips you put over it you have transformed it enough to be fairly well off with fair use. You could have done the opposite with the audio too though; could have taken clips about like "lets be friends!" But I do like what you've done here regardless.
ReplyDeleteIt was neat how you used so many different voice overs in the clip. It's great how you're making fun of fighting. However, I'm not entirely sure how it's fair use. I can see it, but at the same time, I don't, because the voice leads up to a fight and then there's a definite fight in the video. It was a really nice editing job, and maybe I'm just too confused about the whole fair use thing. Great job though!
ReplyDeleteI love the scenes and how they match the words of the clip. I think the fight between those two can fit a lot of good videos, but you picked a great one! Good job at the detail.
