Fair use is the right to use copyrighted material without permission or payment under some circumstances. Fair use is a part of copyright laws that allows people to quote copyrighted material without permission or paying the owners of the original material. According to the site, when makers mash work they aren’t necessarily stealing. I could see as a video maker Fair use laws and copyright laws could get very confusing. It would be confusing trying to decide what’s legal and what is not legal. It is necessary to know importance of Fair Use because Everyday someone creates a video or film that includes images, clips, or ideas from other director. Many individuals use inspiration from others to benefit himself or herself or someone else. Fair Use is important because it provides the wealth of culture that directors need to produce strong emotional responses.

Everyone morning CMT plays country music videos. I was watching CMT one morning and saw a music video by Randy Houser. I do not know for sure if this is considered a match up but his music video has clips from a YOUTUBE video some one posted of their little kid singling along this his song in the back seat. I thought this would be a good example of a match up but I was not 100% sure.
i know what video you are talking about and there is a boy singing it in the back seat. i am not sure if that is match up or not. but the kid is cute! :)
