Benkler

First of all, I feel that I'm not the only one that feels this is difficult to understand, but I feel that the author did a great job of point out his main points. He obviously feels that with today's economy many companies and individuals have the tools that they need to express themselves;whether they are promoting their products for sale or they are just commenting about their personal life. I feel that communication between people are on the rise and don't show any sign of slowing down, facebook has millions of users and twitter is on the rise as well, especially since celebrities are "tweeting" multiple times per day. Just think, Chad Ochocinco of the Cinncinatti Bengals thought he needed to let people know what he was doing during a pre season football game this year that gave him a nice 25k fine by the NFL.

I would say that I use democracy and social networking for my business. I use ping.fm for my business posts, it's nice because it ties all of my social networking sites in one place, so I write one message and it distributes my post to all of my social networking. I feel this is huge in today's world because its not only saving me time by being able to post my post only one time instead of numerous places and it's also letting me promote my business.

Also, another thing that social networks enable us to do is network with eachother and share ideas, I feel this is perfect for someone to use who is looking for a business partner or maybe even an investor. Networking is the biggest part in business, it's not what you know, it's who you know!
